White Mask is a sweeping historical romance drama set against the backdrop of the racial tensions and challenges for the Indigenous people of 1885 Alberta. Finn gets sent to a reserve to help at the Catholic mission. He looks white through and through – from his blonde hair to his bright blue eyes – but he is half Native. Following his white father’s suggestion, he has kept this a secret since he was a child. It was easy enough until he falls in love with a beautiful and fiery young Cree woman named Sohki. At the same time, he finds himself caught in the middle of a bitter dispute between the frustrated, sick, and starving Cree on the reserve and the government agent and brutally uncaring priest. When the dispute becomes deadly, Finn is forced to decide where his loyalties lie.
