Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, April 13, 2016 – The annual Rosie Awards (Alberta Film and Television Awards) have announced the 2016 nominees and Mosaic Entertainment boasts an impressive 11 nods, for three distinct projects.

Leading the way with five nominations is the returning serial comedy Tiny Plastic Men, racking up yet another Best Comedy Series distinction (having already been nominated this year in the same category at the Canadian Screen Awards). The three creators/stars earned a nomination each. Chris Craddock is nominated for Best Performance by an Alberta Actor for his portrayal of multiple characters in the episode Freakish Friday, as is fellow creator/co-star Mark Meer, who also plays multiple characters in his nominated episode Crisis on Infinite Octobers. Matt Alden is nominated for Best Writing in a Drama Under 30 Minutes, for the episode Holiday Special, a bottle episode at its best as the characters celebrate every holiday of the year in one epic office party. The final TPM nomination belongs to Deja Springfield, for Best Visual Effects for the fantastic outer space and multiverse elements in his nominated episode Crisis on Infinite Octobers.

Mosaic’s latest transmedia comedy Delmer & Marta, earned three Rosie nominations: Best Web Series, Best Performance by an Alberta Actress (Patricia Zentilli for her portrayal of the feisty co-anchor Lisa Irons), and Best Original Music Score Drama Under 30 Minutes (series composer, Aaron Macri). Mosaic’s third nominated project comes via a whole new channel for the company: health and wellness. Shot entirely exterior, DP Brett Manyluk earns his nom showcasing the beauty of Edmonton-area locations.
